In 1972, with just a rented building, a handful of sewing machines and three month's severance pay, Earl Beard created Earl's Apparel under the principles of hard work and high quality, durable garments.

More then 40 years on, long after most large scale US manufacturers have outsourced production overseas, the Stan Ray brand - named after Earl's youngest son, Stanley -remains true to its roots, continuing to produce garments in the family owned and run factory in Crockett, Texas USA.
